David S. Adelstein, DO, RPh, FACOOG(Dist)
Dr. David Adelstein has 25 years in clinical practice as an Ob/Gyn. He was the physician/owner ofTriad Ob/Gyn, a private practice located in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He also was the primary Physician for Travel Clinics of Wareham specializing in travel vaccines and diseases.
His training was done at the Osteopathic school in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi honors Fraternity. He completed a residency of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey, during that time he served as the liaison to the Committee of interns and residents of the New Jersey Chapter. He authored and presented the Ortho ACOOG resident thesis award on ""The Utilization of therapeutic ultrasound as a predictor of preterm labor"". Currently he holds licenses in Massachusetts and California. Prior to his medical career, he was working towards his health Physics degree, and has a Bachelors in Pharmacy, certified in Nuclear Pharmacy.
Dr. Adelstein was granted the Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecologists in 2011. He also has served on the Board of trustees for the ACOOG, and has been the past President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Osteopathic Society. Dr. Adelstein was privileged to be the President of Bristol South Division of Massachusetts Medical Society, and a delegate on the committee of legislation. He has also served as a trustee for the prestigious New England Medical Journal.
In the past he has been a national speaker for Eli Lily Company and an international speaker for Warner Lambert. He has also lectured at multiple continuing medical educational courses.
Married to his wife, Carin for the last 30 years since meeting while they were students at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. They have two daughters, Ariel and Rebecca, who are both teachers in Massachusetts, and a foster son Paul who is a chef in Cape Cod. The Adelsteins enjoy multiple and diverse interests including horses, honeybee keeping, have owned a farm and raised and bred Red Bone Coon Hounds. They enjoy sailing together, and he enjoys his motorcycle.
He is happy to be living in St Maartin, and expanding his career as a professor at American University of the Caribbean.
