Eric John Carlson, DO, MPH, FACOOG (Dist.)


Dr. Carlson is a maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist and partner of Main Line Perinatal Associates at Main Line Hospitals in Southeastern Pennsylvania, a tertiary perinatal center with a free-standing Ob/Gyn Residency program.
Dr. Carlson received his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at both the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University

He is a Past President of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
He is the National Faculty Chair of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.
He is an examiner for American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Board Certification.
He is a member of the Council on Patient Safety in Women's Healthcare.

He was a member of the 2008 NIH Fetal Monitoring Workshop Panel which instituted the current guidelines utilized for fetal monitoring.
He was a member of the Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR) Panel which formulated the current guidelines for transvaginal cervical length measurement.

He is married to Joanna with whom he has four children, and lives in a noisy home in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
