Joel B. Rose, DO
Dr. Rose is has served three terms as Chairman of the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently serving his fourth Board tenure. His current Committee assignments include:

He practices injury and family medicine in Tampa. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. He interned at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. Dr. Rose is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
He has received both the Hillsborough County Osteopathic Medical Association and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Physician of the Year Awards. He was the 2002-2003 FOMA President. In 2004 the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association awarded him the Distinguished Service Award.
He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton.
Dr. Rose maintains an active interest in the Board of Osteopathic Medicine's mission to protect and improve the health and safety of all health care consumers in Florida through its regulation and policy-making abilities. He is a fellow in the Federation of State Medical Boards and the American Association of Osteopathic Examiners.
