Patrick Woodman, DO, MS; FACS, FACOOG (Dist.)
Dr. Woodman (MSUCOM '94) is a Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgeon and Educator from Royal Oak, MI. He completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI ('98). He is the first graduate of the US Army's board accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), now housed in Washington DC at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center ('01). After four years as a faculty member of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and serving his country as an Army surgeon, Dr. Woodman became Assistant Director of Indiana University's FPMRS fellowship program in 2005, where he served as Associate Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In September of 2012, he was hired as Associate Professor and Chair of Specialty Care at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He currently is the Program Director of Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. John - Macomb Hospital in Warren, MI.
Dr. Woodman is an expert in the vaginal approach to reconstructive surgery, as well as offering a broad set of laparoscopic and abdominal choices. He has published more than 40 scientific journal articles, book chapters, and videos. Dr. Woodman is board certified in OB/GYN and FPMRS, and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. He is member of the American Urogynecology Society, the International Continence Society, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.
